My classroom is full of energy all day long. When you walk in, you can't help but feel the excitement of children having fun while learning!
I teach in a wonderful school in Indiana.
My class has children in kindergarten and first grade who have special needs. Many of them have a very hard time with their fine and gross motor skills, as well as their expressive communication. We use a multi-sensory approach to learning. The most important thing to me is that they enjoy learning.
My Project
My classroom is self-contained. My students work on their academic, social, and communication goals in my room. We have a very structured day that includes math and literacy stations.
My students work very hard, and I am so proud of how much they have accomplished.
However, we are in need of new resources to use in our centers. Items like the All About Letters chart, Trace and Write Alphabet Center, Literature Based Counting Center, and Count and Slide Learning Apples will increase their math and literacy skills, as well as help them to acquire new skills. The Window Blocks will help provide fun and hands on way to develop math and STEM skills.
