My Students

My students come from varied backgrounds. Each one of them is unique and special in their own way.

All of these students have one thing in common.

They attend a school on the reservation. Many students and their families live in poverty. This is not the only thing that sets them apart. We are surrounded by fields. Many workers migrate from Mexico to work in these fields. The area I live and work in has a high rate of ELL students. We are also identified as a 100% free breakfast and lunch school.

My Project

Currently, I have 20 students. Not a lot of students have support at home which makes learning a struggle.

I love to find ways to reach my kids in ways that keep them engaged and pique their interest.

My kids LOVE to read and take AR (Accelerated Reader) tests. My classroom has two computers that barely function. I would love to have my kids be able to use two new iPads to enhance their learning! They are sweet kids, overcoming some huge challenges. Many of the things the students have for the classroom have come out of my own pocket. Please help by supporting our project. Thank you!
