Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I work with a wonderful group of kindergartners who are excited about school and look forward to learning new things everyday. My school opened two years ago to many students who were moved because their neighborhood school was overcrowded.
With new beginnings, our school has very few materials and activities to help make the learning environment engaging for our students.
We are not a Title I school, so our funds are limited, and many of the activities I do in class and the materials I use have come out of my pocket.

My Project
Math centers are an important part of our daily routine. The centers are geared around things we are currently learning.
Our current math centers are out of date and in major need of an update.
Many of my centers are falling apart.
The Early Math Instant Learning Center Set and the Lakeshore Measurement Set will give my students the extra practice needed to learn the math skills needed throughout the year. Both of the center sets will get plenty of use all year long.
Another really engaging center I would love to add to my classroom is a light table center. The light table will be used in math, word work and STEM centers each day. The Light Table Manipulatives Set and the Nature Up Close Light Table Slides will be a great start to a Light Table Center and allow the students to get a lot of use out of the light table each day.
