Mr. Hale from Fort Worth TX is requesting Art Supplies through DonorsChoose, the #1 classroom funding site for teachers.

Shining a Light on Creativity

Help me give my students the tools they need to create original artwork without fear. By having a light table artists can take risks knowing that if they make a mistake they can more easily correct their work.

My Students

My program teaches children to exercise their creativity and make connections that at first may not be obvious. This "eureka" moment has been critical to innovation since the beginning of time. By having students use creative problem solving they can apply what they learn in the fine arts to other disciplines like science and math.

My students get recharged everyday doing something that they love.

This helps them for the rest of their day and futures.

My students amaze me everyday with their creativity and joy for art.

My Project

Many students are afraid to take chances because they don't want to fail. By giving students a light table they will be able to take risks knowing that they can recover.

Growth comes from being bold and taking risks.

This applies to all subjects and art can be where they exercise the creative muscles that apply to all aspect of life.

The fear of failure is intense when you are a teenager. As a teacher we have to mentor our students, build up their confidence and teach them that failure is not an ending but the beginning of a lesson.
