My Students

Teachers have one of the most important jobs in the world. We have the honor to teach children things that will carry them throughout their lives. This year, in my two sections of ELA and social studies, I have the pleasure of teaching 41 students. This group of students aspire to be teachers, doctors, police officers, military personnel, and even the President some day! They see the world as their oyster and love learning. My students inspire me daily to be a better teacher than I was yesterday!

My Project

Most elementary students are easily distracted. For testing purposes, these privacy screens will greatly benefit my 4th graders to be able to close off various distractions in order to focus on being successful on assessments.

These screens will aid students in only seeing their paper so they can concentrate on mastering the skills and standards needed to progress onto new learning.

When students are given the opportunity to have their own quiet space for assessments, they seem to be able to focus on the task(s) at hand. This project will allow for this to happen in our 4th grade classroom.
