This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students in my special education class are students on the Autism spectrum, who are faced with several challenges both at school and at home. The students in my class range in age from 5 to 11 years old.

During State Testing my 3rd through 5th grade students need a quiet area to take their test.

Because all age level of students are in the same room, we need modifications to our room to accommodate the area for State Testing.

My Project

I need 3 Calming Room Dividers to accommodate my third through fifth grade students who will be taking a state test in the Spring Semester of 2019. Our room is one large area without walls. We need to make a small area that can be isolated from the main group so students can have an area that is not distracting and a place they can concentrate. Students with Autism often suffer with ADHD and are easily distracted. It is not always possible to remove the younger students from the classroom so the older students can be alone and work quietly.
