Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students need to be challenged! I teach students in a low socioeconomic area in Louisiana. My students are considered at risk and would benefit greatly from any help. These students are wonderful and need to be nurtured educationally. That is why it is so important to me to have resources available to them. My students want and are able to learn and accomplish their own goals. I want to be able to help them do this. They deserve it!
My Project
Kids will be kids. They talk, move around, and make noise even when they don't know they are doing it. My students will benefit from privacy partitions and silence sliders for their chairs because is will take away some of the distractions that come along with just being a kid. Students will be able to focus and learn much better if these distractions are gone. Being able to think clearly goes a long way into students getting a good education. Focusing is hard enough for kids to do with no distractions, much less with a class full of them. Being able to learn in a structured environment is very important and these items will help with this.
