My Students

My students are a group of first grade boys and girls from a large urban area where resources are limited. My school is part of a high poverty district and all students receive free breakfast and lunch daily. When my students enter my classroom, I want them to feel happy, safe, and excited to be in school.

I love watching my students learn and grow throughout the year!

My 25 students are special boys and girls that deserve the best education. I am proud of their daily effort during our rigorous day. I teach my students all subjects and love how excited they are to learn new things.

My Project

My students are extremely energetic boys and girls and they spend most of their day in my classroom. I promote a quiet classroom where students feel safe and comfortable. However, I have noticed a major problem in trying to maintain peace and quiet throughout the day.

The student's metal chairs are SO noisy!

My students are constantly moving around the classroom whether it be during centers, transitioning to the rug during whole group activities, or returning back to their desks for independent work. They push and pull their chairs all day and the noise that they make is VERY disruptive and painful to the ears.

We need these chair glides to reduce the noise in our classroom. The chair glides will create a more peaceful environment and eliminate excess distractions for my students. They will also prevent our floors from getting scratched!
