Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have 24 amazing kindergartners who live in a low-income, high poverty area where they face many challenges in their daily lives, but they love school! My students walk into our classroom every day ready to learn and are excited about what is in store for them. While they may struggle at home, they always come into the classroom with smiles on their faces and a positive attitude.
It is my goal to keep them excited about coming to school all year long and provide for their needs while they're under my care.bookshelves
My Project
The book shelves are much needed to organize my students' classroom books. The books will be organized by genre and authors. Students will be able to access books quickly and they will also learn the process of organizing books into categories as well as independently returning books back into the correct bin.
The bookshelves will become part of our reading area in our classroom where students will be able to go to during independent reading and buddy reading.
Please help give our books a new home where we can organize them and keep them looking great on new bookshelves!
