Students in my class have been diagnosed with various learning disabilities that effect the time and manner in which they learn. The core subjects (Math and Reading/Writing) are the focus in my classroom, and I make sure that my kids have what they need to be successful in school, and in life.
My classroom environment is one of love and trust.
It is their constant; their safe-haven. I strive daily to ensure that my students feel safe, and that they are given the same opportunities to expand their minds, and fulfill their potential as all other students.
My Project
As a result of Hurricane Harvey, all of the furniture in my classroom was destroyed. This included shelving, cubicles, rugs, and other storage items. In order for students to receive the optimal classroom experience, I believe that it is important for the classroom to be well organized.
We need a new shelving system, along with a new rug in order to make our classroom feel like home again.
The new addition to our classroom will help with organization, as it will also give our room a sense of home. Students perform the best when they feel safe, and they are a part of a well organized class.
