My Students

Music and the arts are some of the greatest avenues to reach kids that often struggle in school. Many of the students who thrive in the arts are from the hardest socioeconomic situations. About half of our students come from low-income households.

Our students love the arts and putting on plays and programs for our community.

For most students, this is the biggest highlight of their school year.

We are a really small community, our school is the heartbeat of this town. When we put on a program; everyone comes.

My Project

These sheet music stands will help my students see their music more clearly. It will help my students play better because they have a better posture to see the notes on the xylophones and the sheet music.

The students would love the opportunity to feel more like a musician by having official music stands to read off of.

This will also encourage them to read sheet music which is a skill we work on for more than 3 consecutive years. Anything to get them excited about a hard task, is going to help them!
