My Students
I teach elementary students (English Language Learners) in a low-income/high poverty school district. My students are faced with many challenges such as limited school supplies, trauma, and hardship. Even with the challenges they face both in and out of school. My students walk into our classroom happy and eager to learn each day. My students are creative and clever. I want my students enjoy learning English through interactive technology. Interactive technology increases engagement with students and helps create a dynamic learning environment.
My Project
Students will use these Sharpie markers though standards based lessons I create. I'm hoping that the new Sharpie markers will give a boast to students drive in their creation process. My students have plenty of paint and paper, but are lacking in other materials. I hope with these markers we can create other projects.
The donations to this project will help improve my classroom by allowing us to create new art.
The Sharpie markers will allow us to create in ways that paint does not allow. Please allow my students to use art as a way to learn new vocabulary and tell stories.
