Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I want to provide my students with the best instructional learning environment. They deserve teachers who care about them and challenge them. They are the sweetest, most respectful southern kids.
5th-grade students at our school are excited to learn and come every day ready to do their best.
Since we are a low-income Title I school, these kids do not always have the materials and support that they need to be successful. I believe these students deserve a helping hand to help make their year a successful one.
My Project
At least one effective pencil sharpener is a must-have in every classroom. After sharpening thousands of pencils, ours broke this year. Although some of the students have individual hand-held pencil sharpeners, they just don't efficiently do the job.
These classroom supplies will help my students to be organized and ready to write!
I had an organizer cart at my other school and used it daily with my students. When you teach so many subjects throughout the day, it's easy to misplace things. I hope to teach my students good organizational skills to prepare them for middle school when they have to keep everything in a locker instead of a desk.
