Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My 5th grade classroom is filled with 20 enthusiastic students that are eager to learn. My students are faced with many challenges, including low social economic status. Most of these students come with limited resources at home.
My students are very creative and thoughtful, they come to school with excitement and full of questions!
They love engaging and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school willing to learn and grow both personally and academically
My Project
Making students excited to come back to school is just around the corner and what better way to make them feel ownership of their new classroom. Many students lack the resources at home, so pencil donations will be greatly appreciated. Pencils, markers, color pencils and an electrical sharpener will be a great start to make them feel ready to start the new school year.
I work with 5th grade students and at the end of the year I print out pictures we have taken through out the school year of the fun learning experiences and laminating film will help keep their memories.
