Sharpening Our Way Into 2023

Help me give my students an electric pencil sharpener for writing as well as headphones for their laptops, and to listen to stories.

My Project

Teaching autism students is rewarding because they are unique in their own way. Their personalities are beautiful, wonderful, kind, lovable, and always eager to learn. Every morning it is a pleasure to have my students walk into the classroom with me.

In our classroom, we have a pencil sharpener mounted on the wall.

There are some students with very sensitive ears in my class. As a result, they cover their ears with their hands due to the loud sound. An electric pencil sharpener will be much quieter than a wall sharpener, which will benefit the class immensely.

In my class, we use laptop computers for a variety of lessons and my students are at various levels. so headphones will enable them to be able to hear and concentrate during class.
