This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I am a Kindergarten teacher in East Harlem for a class of about 20 children. As my children are in the beginning stages of their writing experiences we are in desperate need of at least 3 classroom sharpeners that can be used for the purpose of having their pencils and colored pencils always neatly sharpened. We have a very old sharpener that ends up heating up and then we have to wait a very long time for it to be used again. We had to buy other very much needed supplies and so our Teachers Choice money has long been spent. If anyone would be so kind in purchasing these sharpeners for us we would be greatly appreciative of the generosity shown to our class!!!!
