My Students

As a speech-language pathologist, I work with amazing students in grades Pre-K thru 5th who have been impacted by Hurricane Michael. We are a Leader In Me school and we are re-teaching the 7 Habits as a result of the many weeks that we missed school due to the destruction. The 7 Habits are essential building blocks to our students regaining a sense of normalcy in their daily lives.

Our students are hard workers who won't let a hurricane get in their way of succeeding at school.

My Project

Our students and staff have been significantly impacted by Hurricane Michael. Their homes and their lives have been turned upside down and they are looking for ways to bring a sense of normalcy back to their daily activities. The Global Summit is a unique opportunity for me to interact with peers around the globe and to improve my knowledge of the 7 Habits. I can then return to HPES and share what others are doing across the world with Leader in Me.

Help me increase my knowledge of the the 7 Habits of Highly Effective Kids and learn from other educators from across the globe!

As the Lighthouse Team facilitator at HPES, I lead a team of educators and staff as we teach our students how to live the 7 Habits at school and at home. Hurricane Michael may have taken our homes and our trees, but it hasn't taken our drive for success.
