My Students
My students attend a low-income school with 100% of the students qualifying for free breakfast and lunch. They face many challenges, challenges many people will never experience in their lifetime. I am always amazed at the great attitudes, love for learning, and the kind hearts my kids have, regardless of these challenges. They are eager to learn and make great gains.

My Project
I am asking for enough pencils to provide each student at our school with 3-4 brand new pencils. Our older students are 100% responsible for making sure that they have enough sharpened pencils to start the school day. At this point in the year, many of our students either have a pencil no bigger than their thumb, or are constantly borrowing one from a friend because their family cannot afford to go buy them new pencils.
A pencil may seem like a small thing, but it can make a world of a difference in the life of a child.
Thank you for making sure all of the little things are taken care of for my students so that we can move on to bigger and better things such as learning!
