Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom will consist of 20 English language learning students that are low socioeconomic and recent immigrants. These students might not have the same support at home as other kids their age, but that doesn't stop them from looking forward coming to school every day, prepared and eager to learn. Your donations will help facilitate and make a big difference in their learning.
As my students walk in the classroom, they are greeted with a warm welcome and a big smile.
Students feel comfortable coming to the class everyday ready with a positive attitude and eager to learn.
Each one of them has a unique personality but they all share the same enthusiasm to learn. My Bilingual students, compared to English students, require more support due to their language barrier and academic development. Even though my English Language Learner students come from a low socioeconomic background, that does not and will not stop them from learning and succeeding academically.
My Project
By providing my students with a sharpener it will make a great difference in their learning. The red and blue color pencils will help them while working with their bilingual pair, write and make corrections by color coding their work. My students are writing and editing their work everyday across all subjects when working with their bilingual pair.. Having the electric sharpener will be a great tool in the classroom as well as the red and blue color pencils that will help my students with work that they will be proud to display. By having an electric sharpener in my classroom will help my students sharpen their pencils quickly without any difficulty vs using a hand held sharpener which is harder for them to use. This will help and facilitate them finish their work faster and proud of their final product.
