Sharp Tools for Sharp Minds

My Students

I am the teacher of 22 smiling first graders who are eager to learn. We live in the northeast corner of Oklahoma in a small, rural community. Our school is mostly made up of Title I students as we live in a low-income area. We have many Native American students due to the fact that Oklahoma is home to nine Native American tribes. I am looking to aid them in their journey to be college and career ready in their futures.

My Project

As a teacher, guess what my favorite thing is?? That’s right, a fresh bouquet of nicely sharpened pencils. How do I get those sharpened pencils you ask? Well normally it’s by turning and turning the old-fashioned pencil sharpener...hopefully, this won’t be the case any more!

This pencil sharpener will help sharpen the tools of the sharp young minds of my students!

In addition, this paper cutter will save tons of time cutting papers out! We are constantly cutting class sets of papers in half by hand! This will save the time and the mess, and also leave our papers nice and straight!
