I have 25 amazing students in my classroom. Though they come from a variety of backgrounds, they all have a love of learning in common. They support each other, help each other, and most importantly cheer each other on.
My students are a group of very enthusiastic second graders.
They are creative and clever, and come in with smiles every day. My students are always eager to learn and collaborate with each other. They love anything that is hands-on and group based. In our school we encourage the children to do their best and be proud of their work. My second graders love to show off and talk about all of their hard work. It's such a joy coming to work each day with my wonderful class.
Not only as a teacher, but as a parent of two elementary students, I know how important it is to be connected to what the students are learning in their classroom. In our class we are constantly completing and engaging in hands-on activities. It would be wonderful for parents to see what is going on, when it is work that cannot be sent home.
With these two Ipads, students will be able to capture and document what they are learning in the classroom and share it with their families through electronic portfolios.
This project is a great way for students to be able to share, talk about, and show their families all of the amazing things they are learning and doing in our classroom.
