My Students
My students live in a rugged and beautiful town. We live right where agricultural lands meet the coastal waters along the Atlantic. Students grow up learning firsthand about wild blueberries and lobsters.
We love to learn about our world through personal and unique experiences.
We work to understand the people, places and things around us. Our small, historic town has links to the Revolutionary War. My students are creative and hungry for knowledge. We have limited resources available in our school, so we have to be creative to maximize every opportunity for each of our amazing students.
My Project
My students will use an iPad every day in our classroom to create videos about what they are learning and post them on Flipgrid. This is a tool we use to "show what we know" with our school community.
My students love sharing what they're learning and creating "how-to" videos to showcase their knowledge and skills.
Having access to an iPad will allow my students to use apps to create and share videos about history and math.
They will also be able to conduct research as needed and to individualize their learning. I work with my students to help them identify their strengths and areas for improvement. An iPad will give them even more tools to work on areas of improvement and to collaborate with others.
