Shared Reading Helping us Learn, Share and Make Memories!
My students need a document camera to enjoy shared reading together.
This project expired on July 13, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. They are an active bunch who care deeply about one an other.
I want them to know I believe in them and they can do anything.
Our school is an immersion language school. We are divided into two classes and we read and write in several languages. We come from various countries and varying backgrounds and come together in our global classroom.
This year we've been reading and writing like champs. We love to share our own written work but also read together books by published authors. We would like a document camera to share our own written work with our classmates to show off our great work and teach others.
We also would like a document camera to read and share stories by published authors.
Our students can't join in with shared reading when we only have one copy of a book. A document camera would allow us to read together and to work on our sight word recognition, fluency and expression. It would also allow us to see pictures and fully understand what our teacher is reading to us.
A document camera would help us in our classroom in so many ways with regards to reading and writing and would lift our instruction to a whole new level.
