My students need Chromecast, whiteboards, markers, and other supplies, for the classroom to engage in learning and increase the ability to share their thinking.
"Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." - Benjamin Franklin. In our classroom it is not OK to sit back and let others provide information. Our goal as a class is to actively participate and seek more, to engage in learning.
Our school is a high poverty school where students, families, and the school as a whole, are on a tight budget.
One area of need in our classroom is technology. We need to teach and learn for the 21st century.
The passion and excitement of these students will inspire any and all who meet them!
My Project
Students will be able to present their thinking collaboratively and efficiently with individual whiteboards and markers. They will also be able to easily share their work using Chromecast, and presentation markers.
One student does not have great fine motor skills and has trouble navigating with a trackpad; a wireless mouse will create a more equitable environment.
We use Chromebooks every day in the classroom, if we were able to use a Chromecast then they can easily share their work with the class, as well as see other students' work.
These items will make our classroom more efficient, less wasteful, and more collaborative.
