Help me give my students items that will help them reach their full potential as learners. The Design and Build Engineering Center will challenge my higher ability students.
The Kindergarten classroom has a special kind of energy. The students are excited to learn about everything at this age. They are fearless in the way they approach a new concept.
My students are inquisitive and excited when new concepts are presented to them.
They adapted very well to the flexible seating options that were introduced to them. I found by giving them options to choose something as simple as a choice where to sit improved their ability to self regulate their behavior and helped them maintain focused during the lesson.
We do small group activities in our classroom. Flexible seating helps keep students engaged in an activity by allowing for more comfortable and efficient work areas than with traditional seating.
It also allows for the teacher to observe the students different learning styles and behaviors.
My Project
The purpose of this project is to provide various learning activities for my students. Kindergarten students are eager to explore ways to develop their skills. They approach new tasks with enthusiasm and tenacity. This creates a positive learning atmosphere and confident, motivated students.
Their imaginations and “can do” attitudes are instrumental to the success of this project.
As the teacher, I am responsible for guiding my students in the right direction while allowing them to develop their creativity and problem solving skills. A goal of this project is help transform my students into self-assured, life-long learners
The ‘Alphabots’ and ‘Numberbots’ are an excellent resource when working with students on the alphabet, spelling and counting by presenting it in a fun and unique way! The ‘See Inside Magnetic Blocks’ and ‘Tree House Imagination Builders’ help students build their imaginations in creative and purposeful ways. The ‘Letter Crayons Word Building Center’ will give a colorful twist to our reading center. Finally, for more advanced students, I requested ‘Design and Build Engineering Centers.’
It is challenging to plan and implement activities that can be adjusted to the needs of all students. The items requested will bring us one step closer to achieving this goal.
