Students feel empowered by having choice and control over their environment. Flexible seating allows students to choose where and how they work. It also allows them the opportunity to change their workplace and positions as needed. Many students can't keep their bodies still. Rather than watch them struggle, these chairs make it possible for them to learn while moving.
Flexible seating allows students to wobble, rock, and sway.
This movement increases oxygen flow to the brain and improves core strength. It also helps keep young minds more alert and focused. An uncomfortable child is a distracted and unproductive student.
The students in our classrooms don’t know life without constant connectivity, Wi-Fi, and a global audience. My classroom environment should be conducive to learning in groups, engaging conversation, creativity, and critical thinking.
To help keep my students engaged, they need to move. Wobble chairs will give my students the movement breaks they need while they learn.
During work time, these chairs will help them move their bodies while their minds are still at work.
They are lightweight and easy to move around the room. They are safe and fun to use. Students will be excited to use these chairs, thus improving motivation to learn.
I want to help all of my students to attend and participate in discussions and activities. I also know that sitting still for long periods of time is not easy for many students. If I can keep them focused and on task more, that's a win for both of us!
