My Students

I provide language therapy and communication intervention within an amazing community of students who are striving to learn and better their circumstances. I provide push-in language and social pragmatic therapy services within the classroom, but also have the opportunity to work closely to collaborate with my students' team of classroom teachers, paraprofessionals, and parents.

Every child deserves the opportunity to communicate, expand their language, and show the world how wonderful, individual, and unique they are.

My students are extraordinary individuals who choose to overcome challenges and adversity every time they come into the classroom. It is not a light task to enter the social environment of the classroom while struggling to communicate their emotions and anxiety. These dedicated children inspire me daily to be a better teacher and to help them change their world.

My Project

Music is a way to express emotion, communicate feelings, and tell stories without the requirement of words. It's an amazing opportunity for students with language needs to be able to fully participate and embrace the joys of engaging with their peers without limitation.

"Music is a therapy, it is a communication far more powerful than words, far more immediate, far more efficient" ~ Yehudi Menuhin.

The requested instruments will allow my students to experience music with safe and appropriate materials for their individual needs and developmental levels. With these resources, they can become active participants without fear of anything inappropriate being swallowed or breaking anything irreparable and have the freedom to experiment with sound independently. Thank you for your support to help my young learners take on the world of musicality and train their musical ears.
