My students are energetic, academic students who love to cook and help the school. They are eager to use technology in the classroom to help make their lives easier. The students love to take skills they learn from core classes and apply them to real-life problems posed to them in my classroom.
The students are very creative and enjoy using problem-solving skills to create new food items and crafting items.
Applying skills with technology and hands-on activities makes learning come to life!
My Project
This project will allow students to create felt animals by learning how to do basic hand sewing. Students will be able to create a felt animal that they will have the opportunity to donate to a elementary classroom with a hand written story book. The thread and cases will allow us to stay organized with having over a hundred students in the class. The large amount of felt will allow students to complete a wide variety of projects without having to worry about finding and bringing in the resources from home. The stuffing and eyes will complete the animal and make it into a cute stuffed animal.
