My Students

Hello and Bonjour! In normal years, my students come to my room for French 1-6, Honors English 12, and Life Skills. Our room has always been a haven for creative, team-based learning. Students love coming in to practice together and try things in here that they don't get to experience in our rural community or at home.

I want to keep using my curriculum, classroom, and tools to help my students understand the changing world.

My Yooper students learn how about the world nearby and at a distance through our activities. Through this learning, they understand the similarities we share and the world at large.

My Project

My students and I are facing socially distanced education for the coming year. Since I began teaching Life Skills including sewing, my goal has been to help my students learn valuable lessons through the medium of fabric arts.

Through our sewing activities, students gain an understanding of planning, prototyping, problem-solving, revision, and attention to detail.

Because we must plan for students to have their own materials, students will each receive a sewing kit comprised of the essentials for the hand sewing projects we will do throughout the year. These kits will be provided for students in person as well as students who have an extended absence or if we are switched to online.
