My Project

When I was in the second grade, I went to an after-school workshop that taught me how to sew. It was fun, it was easy, and it's a useful life skill I've carried with me ever since. In the modern era, sewing is a bit of a lost art, but I want to reintroduce it to my fifth and sixth grade students.

Sewing is an extremely versatile and important life skill that can facilitate not only hobbies but repairs and even careers.

By funding the materials necessary to teach my students the basics of sewing, you are helping me set them up to be more productive, creative, and competent adults.
