Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach a group of very creative and curious students. Each student has a story to be told and a unique way of learning. Their home lives are stressful, with most of them being economically disadvantaged. Each student is unique in their ways of learning but that does not stop them from accomplishing their goals.
My students are creative and willing to learn new things.
The students strive for excellence despite their circumstances. My students are motivated to continue with their education but we still need a few items to begin the new school year so that learning flourishes.
My Project
The boys and girls work diligently to learn but with an early lunch the "I'm hungry" strikes in the afternoon. It can be difficult to concentrate if you missed lunch or if your stomach is growling for a quick bite to eat.
These snacks will enable the boys and girls to stay a bit more focused in the late afternoon.
When the "I'm hungry" pain strikes and eating is on the mind, a quick snack will do the job.
Some crackers or granola bars will settle the hunger and may allow the students to focus on their learning and not on their stomachs.
