My students are some of the best little humans I have ever met! They are creative, kind, and hilarious! The next few years are crucial in their development because they are beginning to learn who they are as people. I love teaching students of this age because their personalities truly shine, and they are able to have insightful discussions. I am so thankful that I get to be a part of their school career!
My Project
Throughout my career, I've strived to make my classroom environment one where my students feel safe and comfortable. I believe that when students feel safe and relaxed, this allows them to focus on what they are learning. I already have some flexible seating options available but would like to give them more options. My kiddos constantly beg to use the resources we have, and I am sure that with the new resources that would continue!
Currently, we do not have any clipboards in the classroom, and we have to make do with using textbooks to write on during small group or independent work.
The clipboards would allow my students more flexibility in where and how they can work.
I am also requesting headphones for my students to allow them to listen to music during independent work without distracting students who need silent work time. The headphones will also help my sanity because I will not have to get Encanto stuck in my head!
