My students need books to use to set up a new Readers' Workshop. I have specifically chosen books that have varied reading levels and interests.

My Students

Our classroom library is desolate and lacking in strong materials that will help get our students hooked on reading. Help me to bring a love of reading to the students on the Tiger Team. Their adventures are waiting.

My students get the opportunity to attend a charter school where we look at each student's individual needs and help to do whatever necessary to achieve success by creating life-long lovers of learning.

We are a family and treat each child as though they are our first priority. We believe in them and they trust in us to do whatever we can to help them feel safe and believe in themselves.

My Project

The books that I have chosen for our classroom library include books that are fictional and informational. The common core curriculum will make it necessary for our students to have access to both types of materials and make the connections between the two through reading and writing strategies.

I want our students to be successful during Reader's Workshop and giving them access to books that will challenge them and also peak their interests will help that goal become a reality.
