My Students
Welcome to Ms. Cormier's classroom! I have 10 unique, talented, and hardworking students with special needs. Each student works towards achieving their IEP (individualized education plan) goals, all while being the best kids they can be. These goals are sometimes related to academic, social/behavioral, adaptive, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, and/or physical therapy needs. Examples of IEP goals include improving social skills, identifying numbers, hand washing, grasping a pencil, and producing letter sounds.
My Project
In the spring, most of our classroom school supplies were sent home to support learning and creativity at home. Approaching this new school year, some students will be learning physically at school and others will be learning from their homes. In order to have all the materials needed to support students, we need to restock our supplies and organize individual kits for students. Daily, our students work on fine motor skills in the classroom that involve cutting, drawing, writing, and molding play dough. These materials will continue to help support student growth.
