My students need LeapReaders to help them learn to read. These will be a part of daily five which means they will be a station in the classroom that students will work at daily.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am a first year teacher, and I am beyond excited to teach where I student-taught. I look forward to continue building many great relationships with teachers, staff, and students. Although I am a first year teacher, I have worked with many different types of students throughout student teaching and substituting. My favorite part about working with students is how differently each student learns.
I look forward to meeting all of my students this year and cannot wait to help them build strong foundations for their future.
My Project
I am creating this project for my classroom to help build a strong foundation for reading. I think that LeapFrog Leapreaders are a great way to help students begin to read. Students will work with these daily during daily five. Daily five is set up with five different reading and writing stations. These LeapFrog Leapreaders will not only help my students read but they will also help my students with handwriting and letter and number recognition. These Leapreaders are very engaging for students and help make learning fun. Getting to know my students over the last week and a half has been very fun, and I just know they will love these!
