My students come from many different backgrounds, and many need support from the government and school as many necessities are not readily available. Every student at my school receives free breakfast and lunch due to low socioeconomic status, which often adversely affects many students who attend the school. Some students also end up homeless as a result of economic hardships.
As different as all of my students are, we all have agreed that we have the same goal: to learn and become better citizens of our classroom and school.
My students can tell you what it feels like to feel welcome somewhere and can agree that their classroom is one of those places.
My Project
These materials will allow students to have an eye-pleasing spot for their area. This includes having a name tag with plenty of visual resources for their learning and a sleeve to protect all that! The outside of their desks should also match an organization with the inside of their desks!
Seat pouches will help students organize materials they'd like to keep in their pouches rather than the inside of a desk!
This might include books that can get tattered over time from rustling inside a desk, their supplies that they may want to keep more protected, or their school notices that they won't want to forget to take home!
