This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am planning to set up a small "help yourself" station for my students to use when they need it. Many of my students come to school hungry and unprepared due to things outside of their control.

My stand will give students access to snacks, water cups, feminine supplies, deodorant, pencils, pens, notebook paper, and desk wipes.

This will set them up for success not only in my class, but as they continue their day.

It has been proven that having basic needs met is the first step to focused learning.
