My students need whiteboards and flexible seating to work in small groups. This is one of the highest needs schools in Savannah and being about to work in small groups will greatly benefit them.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
As a group of 8 year olds learning math and science, I want to make sure they have hands-on manipulatives and flexible seating to help them succeed! My students come from an extremely high needs school. The school is Title I and the staff is stepping up committing their time and talent for these students to have a fresh start.
My students are bright and spunky, but need the extra support to work to their potential!
I am excited to serve as their teacher this year and watch them grow, grow, grow!
My Project
The whiteboards will allow my students to work in small group and share answers for accuracy in whole group instruction. Flexible seating makes the learning environment fun and helps with focus. I'm excited for the paper protectors for math fact drills. Children all have different needs and these materials would mean we have options available to use to accommodate them.
Having the appropriate resources available makes a huge difference in the classroom.
The math games and flashcards are going to be perfect for reinforcing learned material and for students who need extra support. The pencil sharpener is a golden resource for teachers. Thank you for your support!
