Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I love that my students are making advancements to perform. It is time to showcase their talent and all that they can do musically. They have the unique ability to come together and create. These materials would help my students when we work in ensembles. Due to poor air circulation and the years of being virtual, there are parts of the stage and my classroom that must be throughly clean/organized.

A clean space to perform is so important; it puts our students in a good head space and at ease.

My goal is to better organize my room to help my students perform to their best ability on stage. I am hoping for the curtain and curtain rods for the area of my classroom where drums are. That will partially block out those instruments unti they are needed. I would like the containers for instruments that I hope can be used on stage in the near future. I like to think of my classroom as a passage way to the stage; both environments require care and delicate preparations.
