I couldn't be happier to be in a new school district and returning to second grade! There is something special about second graders. Their growth is truly incredible. My second graders are little loves! We are a Title I school where students receive extra services to improve their reading skills.
Saying that my students are eager to learn is an understatement!
My class thoroughly enjoys learning new things and they bring so much energy into our classroom. Their enthusiasm is contagious. They make learning in our classroom fun and exciting to be a part of!
My Project
The materials in this project will help create numerous lessons in our classroom. I recently went to a conference called, Get Your Teach On! In this conference, I learned about many new engaging ways for students to apply new skills ad increase the rigor in lessons. This was an amazing opportunity to see how other educators engage their students in fun, energetic ways.
These materials could transform my classroom or even just help make a lesson more hands on!
The glow in the dark, UV flashlights and tape will help create a glowing learning environment for any content area. The Building Blocks will be used for STEAM activities which can be linked to both Reading and Math. There are so many ways to make learning run and rigorous and these items will help!
