"Every child in your class is someone's whole world!" I keep this quote posted by my desk to remind myself how important each child in my classroom is. I strive each day to make my classroom a fun and happy place for students to learn and grow as individuals.
I have 20 fifth graders who jump at every opportunity to utilize technology in their learning.
However, we have limited access to technology in our classroom making it challenging to access the engaging programs that will enhance my students' learning. I have a diverse group of students coming from a range of socioeconomic statuses. Each child's education is important to me and I want them all to have the opportunity to utilize technology on a daily basis in order to support them as 21st century digital learners.
My Project
Four Amazon Fire tablets for our classroom will give my students the opportunity to access technology on a daily basis, increasing their engagement throughout the school day.
These Amazon Fire tablets will allow students to access textbooks digitally, view and interact with educational websites, and create documents and projects through Office365.
My students enjoy having access to technology in our classroom and are more eager to participate in educational activities when they can do so digitally.
Also, having one-to-one devices for my students to utilize while reviewing for assessments allows me to see who understands the content and who needs more support. This information helps me to impact all learners in my classroom.
