My Project

Our 5th-grade gifted and talented students are finishing up a novel where the two girls are homeless. Throughout the book, they experience many challenges due to their circumstances. We are taking this book as an opportunity to have a service project where students will serve to provide a birthday set for students who don't often celebrate their birthdays.

The students will create a birthday goody bag, a birthday cake kit, and a hygiene kit for these children to receive on their birthday.

These materials will allow the students to put together the bags and kits. Our goal is to bring awareness to our students of challenges other children face and to encourage them to try to make a difference.
