This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our girls are tough. They hustle, sweat, support each other, and leave everything on the court—but they need your help to keep playing the game they love. They are the LHS Girls Volleyball Team, and they are gearing up for the 2025 season. My student-athletes work hard both in the classroom and in their sport, but many of them come from families who simply can’t afford the basic gear needed to compete safely and confidently. Over 90% of our students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, and we serve a diverse, primarily minority student body. Despite financial challenges, our players show up with passion and pride. What they lack in resources, they make up for in heart.

For this season, my student-athletes need team bags, knee pads, and socks; these essentials will help level the playing field, boost team spirit, and protect players from injury.

Having matching gear also builds unity and confidence—letting our girls focus on teamwork, skill-building, and representing their school with pride. My students need: 1) Volleyball Backpacks, 2) Durable Knee Pads for all players; and 3)Team Socks.

Sports are more than just games. Volleyball gives these girls a safe space to grow as leaders, learners, and teammates. It keeps them motivated academically and teaches discipline, resilience, and confidence. With your support, you're not just giving gear—you’re investing in a team of young women who are ready to rise.
