My students need enough science supplies, including 2 DNA kits, 6 tectonics models, and 12 Alnico Cow magnets, for every student in our class to be able to participate in experiments.

My Students

Help every student in our class be able to participate in all our activities. Science can be such a fascinating and exciting subject when students get to experience it for themselves. When they must watch their teacher demonstrate it, it just becomes one more lecture.

Our class is a wonderful group of children who are ravenous about learning and love trying things out for themselves.

They are fast, curious and very tactile; just perfect for science! We attend a friendly, yet overcrowded school in Utah that was built in the 60's. We work hard and set high standards for ourselves. We also try to make learning as fun as possible.

My Project

If you donate to our class, you will be helping every student in our class to be able to really say, "I know why that works!" This grant will provide materials for each student to actually create magnetic levitation, test for chemical changes, and extract DNA and look at it. This is something they have never done before.

Science is so important to the future of our nation.

So many of the major efforts in business, medicine, humanitarian relief and inventions are based in science. How wonderful would it be if we could get children as excited about science as they are about American Idol, or their favorite sports team? Providing them with enriching experiences in science is the way to make that happen. With these items, our class will be doing science instead of looking at pictures of it. Thank you so much.
