My Students

I teach a diverse group of kindergartners, first graders, and second graders in the heart of Kansas City, MO. In the Fall of 2018 we will be expanding to third grade. Our school is full of motivated and curious young people who question everything around them.

Our students are growing to become voracious readers!

Students enjoy the challenge of a chapter book and are particularly motivated by multiple book series. As our school continues to grow, we need books to challenge our scholars' minds.

My Project

Do you remember stories you read again and again as a child? Which characters still hold a special place in your heart?

Just like you, our students love reading and falling in love with beloved characters.

We want to provide students' with classic, quality children's literature as they continue to hone their reading skills. We also want to give our advanced readers complex texts at their reading level that are age appropriate.

By supporting our project, you are supporting readers' access to quality texts. You are providing students' the opportunity to fall in love with the Boxcar children, adventure into Narnia, and make connections to history.
