Help me give my students great student novels to read individually and as a class, headphones to help with our speaking and listening activities, difusser to help calm the room, ink to print off items, and scissors.
My students are part of the Spanish Dual Immersion program and come from low income areas. They have been making working really hard to do something that has only been done by a few before them. They work hard learning their subjects in both languages.
Covid has hit this group really hard being in low income areas.
When we went online they were at home babysitting their younger siblings instead of doing school. Or they had to go to work with their parents since their parents couldn't afford day care. Their levels dropped drastically and are on the rebound. This project will help them with both their emotions but also their education.
My Project
I teach a Spanish language arts class and my students do to covid have been struggling with their reading abilities so I am getting these items to help improve the reading skills in my classroom. I am also getting things that will help my students emotional well being by getting things like a classroom diffuser and pop it games to help them relax in stressful times.
My students have worked really hard during covid and I would like to continue to help them by allowing them a calm place to grow and learn!
