My kindergarten students come to school each day eager to learn and explore! I teach in a Title 1 school which means the majority of my students receive free or reduced lunch.
My class consists of 11 amazing students.
My goal is not only to prepare my students for the next grade level but also teach them the importance of treating others nicely no matter our differences. They are an amazing group of students. I am so lucky and thankful to have students that are excited and ready to learn each day!
My Project
Early childhood educators like to emphasize that young children learn with all their senses. The possibilities are endless for a sensory table! My students will be using the sensory tables for math centers, literacy centers, and science activities. Centers will be frequently rotated with new themes and seasons each providing hands-on, multi sensory objects for the kids to explore, discover, create, and learn. Students will interact with the items on the table in ways that get them to count, organize, match, and label objects. It is also a great way for students to develop strong fine motor skills while learning and having fun!
