This year, I am working with 20 amazing 4th graders. They are sweet and hard-working students. These boys and girls have many different life experiences, but most have grown up together. They are well aware of the unique personality that each student brings to the classroom.
My students live in a rural community where they have limited access to diverse learning environments.
I do my best to enhance their learning environment and meet each child's individual needs on a daily basis.
My Project
I have requested two Kore wobble stools for my classroom. The size is more appropriate for 4th graders. I have experience with these stools in the primary classroom and they are a game changer for fidgety students.
So many students in today's classrooms have sensory needs and I strive to address those in my own students.
I have also requested risers to turn two desks into standing work stations. This will allow students more choices in as they work.
I have also requested fluorescent light filters to address the harsh lighting in the classroom. These filters are critical for student comfort.
