My students need developmentally-appropriate sensory items such as kinetic sensory sand, sensory tubs and sensory play materials to meet their sensory needs.

My students need developmentally appropriate sensory items such as kinetic sensory sand, sensory tubs and sensory play materials to meet their sensory needs.
My students vary from non-verbal special needs to verbal general education students.
They range from ages 3 to 4 years. They learn best by doing, playing, and touching. My favorite thing about my students is that they love learning. However, many of them have difficulty focusing and unique sensory needs.
Our school is located in a low-income neighborhood in Baltimore, MD. Despite the many challenges they face, I like to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My students need developmentally-appropriate sensory activities, such as kinetic sand, sensory tubs and magic water marbles to incorporate with early literacy and early math literacy learning activities. These activities benefit both my students with special needs and those who are typically-developing. My students all have varying needs and require developmentally-appropriate materials to engage them throughout the day. Many of my students have sensory needs and the products that I have requested stimulate sensorimotor development through visual and tactile arrays.
By helping to fund my project you will be ensuring that appropriate sensory materials are available in our classroom in order to address these crucial sensory needs.
In doing so, it will help to regulate my students and allow them to improve upon many other important skills, such as fine motor, cognition and language.
