Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are a wonderful group. They all have an autism diagnosis which makes it's hard for them to participate for a full lesson without the assistance of a staff member or object to help them.

These items are crucial for a student who are navigating their disability and learning at the same time.

The phones will be used to help students during shared reading time, so they can hear the words they are saying. Most of my students have a communication goal in their IEPS, and the phones would assist that. The weighted blanket would be able to help students who need pressure, but can receive it in an appropriate way. The two sided crayons will support our curriculum with writing as the students are able to have a better grip on the crayons (because of the size and thickness) as well as have color association.
